Stacy’s Penitence – taking hardcore to another level!
Posted by okakifreak 2nd February 2010
Just a couple of weeks back, my friend brought up this video by Stacy’s Penitence on Youtube, insisting that I see it. The song’s name is Veronica, and it can be quite deceiving at first. It started out all ‘emo’ and mellow, but around a minute into the song, it turned around and became this hardcore/screamo song that just took me by surprise!
The production for the song is pretty neat; the guitar tones and vocals cut through really nicely, although I suspect they’ve programmed the drums using Fruity Loops. Still, it’s an awesome attempt at making something professional, especially when you’ve got limited resources.
