   If you are trying to delete a file which is still open in the windows, you must close the file first then try again; it most likely willl delete.

   restart is the ultimate cure and last thing you can try

   “you must close the file ”
   you cannot close a file. of course if you write an application, you should close() all open files in your code.

   strickly speaking, you cannot close a file (unless you are writing a computer program) but you can close the application which opened the file.

   However, sometimes, some background process (not application) continues to use a file. if you can identify the process, you can kill it.

   In the *nix world, man had made commands like lsof, fuser, kill, ps …. to achieve this, when most of us were drinking milk and before some of us
   were born.

   This is why we, MEN use *nix
