What does a heart attack feel like?

August 7th, 2008 2:02 am | tetea_t

The “Hollywood heart attack” is dangerously misleading

The Hollywood heart attack - think Elliott Gould in Ocean’s 13 - involves dramatic chest clutching and collapse. But in reality, symptoms vary. They can be woolly, ambiguous and easy to ignore. It is very common to have a central chest pain that can spread to the arms, neck and jaw. You may feel sweaty, light-headed, sick or short of breath. You may simply feel a dull ache, mild discomfort or heavy sensation in your chest that makes you feel ill. Or there may be a chest pain that spreads to your back or stomach. Some people say the pain was like bad indigestion.

Ivy Leaguers’ Big Edge: Starting Pay

August 7th, 2008 2:01 am | H.Vangchhia

Where people go to college can make a big difference in starting pay, and that difference is largely sustained into midcareer, according to a large study of global compensation.

The subjects hailed from more than 300 U.S. schools ranging from state institutions to the Ivy League, and their incomes show that the subject you major in can have little to do with your long-term earning power. PayScale excluded survey respondents who reported having advanced degrees, including M.B.A.s, M.D.s and J.D.s.

Airtel will launch iPhone 3G on Aug 22

August 6th, 2008 7:53 pm | benjamin rualthanzauva

After much speculation, Airtel has officially revealed it will launch iPhone 3G on August 22. A press release from Airtel says iPhone 3G will be available for purchase from Airtel’s Relationship Centres from August 22.

Vodafone has not made any statement but Livemint reports Vodafone too will launch it on the same day and Tech2 thinks so.

I wonder if people will queue up days/hours before like it happened in the US. The price is still a close guarded secret!
